The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset is for the average municipal/public waste mix. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of urban solid waste in Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province are as follows: food waste class 36.38%, paper class 9.7%, rubber class 11.34%, textile class (fiber) 2.1%, wooden bamboo class 1.36%, ash soil class 0%, brick瓦 ceramic class 37.81%, glass class 0.93%, metal class 0.23%, other class 0%. Moisture content 44% 26%, higher heating value 6088.2 kJ/kg, lower heating value 4390.57 kJ/kg. The initial carbon fraction of waste, i.e., the biogenic part is 60.4%. The unoxidized and largely recoverable metal content in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. The overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%. Degradability of different fractions that make up the waste: Paper: 27%; Mixed cardboard: 32%. 4% plastic: 1%; laminates: 18%; laminated packaging, such as drink cartons: 18%; composite products, such as diapers: 18%; glass: 0%; textiles: 12%; minerals: 0%; natural products: 27%; compostable materials: 27%; inert metals: 10%; volatile metals: 0%; batteries: 0%; electronics: 0%; landfill gas capture and utilization produces 5.52E-05 kWh of electricity and 1.99E-01 MJ of useful heat.
