The dataset represents the waste management activity of \\\"municipal solid waste\\\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in the Ninth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are as follows: food waste 76%, paper 2.4%, rubber 5.4%, textile (fiber) 4.2%, wood and bamboo 2.5%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 6.4%, glass 2.4%, and metals 0%. 8%, other categories 0%. Moisture content 47%, higher heating value 4148.64 kJ/kg, lower heating value 2183.4 kJ/kg. The carbon fraction from initial waste, i.e., biogenic, is 60.4%. The ratio of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in waste (excluding extremely small or thin components): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. One hundred years overall waste degradation rate: 18.73%. Degradability of the components constituting the waste: Paper: 27%; Mixed cardboard: 32%. 4% plastic: 1%; laminated materials: 18%; laminated packaging, such as beverage cartons: 18%; composite goods, like diapers: 18%; glass: 0%; textiles: 12%; minerals: 0%; natural products: 27%; compostable materials: 27%; inert metals: 10%; volatile metals: 0%; batteries: 0%; electronics: 0%; landfill gas capture and utilization generate 8.68E-05 kWh of electricity and 3.12E-01 MJ of useful heat.
