The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province are as follows: kitchen waste 64.5%, paper 6.7%, rubber 10.1%, textile (fiber) 1.2%, wood bamboo 0.1%, ash soil 0%, brick tile ceramics 15.1%, glass 2%, metal 0.3%, others 1.36%. Moisture content is 55.81%, and higher calorific value of 5161. 91 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 3249.72 kJ/kg. The carbon fraction of initial waste, i.e., biogenic 60.4%. Unoxidized and largely recoverable metal content in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components): iron: 60.03%; aluminum: 17.81%; copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%. Degradability of the waste fractions: paper: 27%; mixed cardboard: 32%. 4% plastic: 1%; laminated materials: 18%; laminated packaging, such as beverage cartons: 18%; composite products, like diapers: 18%; glass: 0%; textiles: 12%; minerals: 0%; natural products: 27%; compostable materials: 27%; inert metals: 10%; volatile metals: 0%; batteries: 0%; electronics: 0%; landfill gas capture and utilization produced 1.58E-04 kWh of electricity and 5.69E-01 MJ of useful heat.
