The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. Not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastic, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Shizuishan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region are as follows: kitchen waste 35.7%, paper 2.1%, rubber 4.1%, textile (fiber) 1.2%, wood and bamboo 1.7%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, ceramics 45.7%, glass 0.4%, metal 0.2%, other 8.9%. Moisture content is 55% 81%, higher heating value 4907.39 kJ/kg, lower heating value 3368.45 kJ/kg. The carbon share in the initial waste, i.e., 60.4% from biological sources. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%.
