The dataset represents the waste treatment activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset is for average municipal/public waste mixtures. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Huaibei city, Anhui province, are as follows: food waste 43.66%, paper 17.77%, rubber 20.55%, textile (fiber) 4.66%, wood/bamboo 2.84%, ash/soil 2.4%, brick/tile/ceramics 1.07%, glass 1.66%, metal 2.09%, and other materials 3.3%. The moisture content is 58%. 03%, higher heating value 7781.59 kJ/kg, lower heating value 5894.38 kJ/kg. The carbon fraction of the initial waste is 60.4% biogenic. The proportion of unoxidized and substantially recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components) is: Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. The overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years is 18.73%.
