The dataset represents the waste treatment activities of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Siping City, Jilin Province are as follows: 43% food waste, 4.9% paper, 15% rubber, 2.7% textile (fiber), 2.7% wood and bamboo, 0% ash and soil, 4.6% brick, tile, and ceramics, 2.6% glass, 0.5% metal, and 24% other. It has a moisture content of 55.81% and higher calorific value of 6171. 51 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 4526.37 kJ/kg. The carbon fraction of initial waste is 60.4% from biogenic sources. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): iron: 60.03%; aluminum: 17.81%; copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
