The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. Not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Huanggang City, Hubei Province are as follows: food waste 55.3%, paper 1.5%, rubber 4.5%, textile (fiber) 0%, wood/bamboo 8.3%, ash/soil 0%, brick/tile/ceramic 27.3%, glass 2%, metal 1.1%, other 0%. Moisture content is 53.5%, and higher calorific value of 4550. 7 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 2783.55 kJ/kg. The carbon share in the initial waste, that is, from biogenic sources, was 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (not including very small or very thin components) was: Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%.
