The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastic, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of urban solid waste in Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province are as follows: food waste 52.5%, paper 5.5%, rubber 6%, textiles (fibers) 3%, wood and bamboo 3%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 20.5%, glass 5.5%, metals 3%, and others 1.36%. Moisture content is 55.81%, and higher calorific value of 4526. 97 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 2820.89 kJ/kg. The carbon share from initial waste, i.e., 60.4% biomass origin. The ratio of unoxidized and largely recyclable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components) Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. General degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
