The characteristics of municipal solid waste (MSW) processed by the waste incinerator (MSWI) in the urban area of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, are as follows: food waste 32.42%, paper 34.81%, rubber 10.56%, textile (fiber) 3.71%, wood and bamboo 1.52%, ash and soil 7.11%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 3.8%, glass 0.94%, metal 2.17%, and others 2.98%. The moisture content is 48.28%, the higher heating value (HHV) is 7379.27 kJ/kg, and the lower heating value (LHV) is 5591. 02 kJ/kg. Waste treatment activities are based on an average urban/public waste mixture and are not suitable for single specific wastes such as plastics, paper, cardboard, etc. If your waste is a specific waste mixture, please itemize the corresponding waste separately. Each kg of this waste will produce 0.205 kg of slag and 0. Fly ash and slag are processed for precious metal recovery after being produced in the amount of 05kg before being landfilled. Fly ash is solidified with cement at a ratio of 1:1. The average heat efficiency of waste heat power generation is taken at 22%; during the waste heat supply process no different forms of heat and energy conversion occur, thus the heat efficiency is relatively high with an average value of 64%; combining the heat efficiency of the waste heat power generation process and the direct heat supply process, 15% of the heat generated during waste incineration is used for power generation and 56% is used for direct heating.
