The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Jinchang City, Gansu Province are as follows: kitchen waste 36.38%, paper 9.7%, rubber 11.34%, textile (fiber) 2.1%, wood and bamboo 1.36%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 37.81%, glass 0.93%, metal 0.23%, and others 0%. It has a moisture content of 44%. 26%, higher heating value 6088.2 kJ/kg, lower heating value 4390.57 kJ/kg. The carbon share in the initial waste, that is, the biogenic share 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in waste (excluding very small or very thin components): iron: 60.03%; aluminum: 17.81%; copper: 72.83%. The overall degradation rate of waste for 100 years: 18.73%.
