Nickel cobalt manganese (NCM622) oxide can be used as the positive active material for ternary lithium-ion batteries; this dataset includes primary raw materials, utilities, atmospheric emissions, and wastes in the production process. Infrastructure, such as production equipment manufacturing and plant construction, is not included within the scope of the dataset boundaries; the data inventory is formed by aggregating data from multiple sources; NCM622 oxide is produced via a multi-step calcination process, where NCM622 hydroxide and lithium carbonate undergo mixing and sintering two or three times in a calcination kiln, after which the resulting material is crushed, sieved, and demagnetized to obtain NCM622 oxide.
