The dataset represents the transportation service of delivering 1 standard container at a distance of 1 kilometer by a container ship in China's inland waterways areas (regardless of watershed). The transport dataset covers the entire transport lifecycle, including the production and maintenance of container ships, construction of canals and ports, as well as energy use and operational emissions. The proportion of transport services for container ships of various TEU sizes is reasonably extrapolated based on relevant national data of inland waterways areas, such as the number of standard containers loaded by container ships and the volume of freight turnover, along with literature and materials.
