It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Pingxiang city, Jiangxi province, are as follows: food waste 52.5%, paper 5.5%, rubber 6%, textile (fiber) 3%, wood and bamboo 3%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 20.5%, glass 5.5%, metal 3%, and other 1.36%. The moisture content is 55.81%, and higher calorific value of 4526. 97 kJ/kg, lower heating value 2820.89 kJ/kg. The initial share of carbon in the waste, i.e., from biological sources is 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. The overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
