The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in sanitary landfills. The recommended use of this dataset is for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, are as follows: food waste 52.5%, paper 5.5%, rubber 6%, textiles (fiber) 3%, wood and bamboo 3%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 20.5%, glass 5.5%, metals 3%, and others 1.36%. It has a moisture content of 55.81% and higher calorific value of 4526. 97 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 2820.89 kJ/kg. The carbon share from initial waste, i.e., 60.4% biogenic. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
