Characteristics of municipal solid waste in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province are as follows: food waste 62.6%, paper 10.9%, rubber 11.4%, textile (fiber) 2.1%, wood bamboo 0.9%, ash soil 0%, brick tile ceramics 0.7%, glass 2%, metal 0.2%, others 9.2 %. Moisture is 60.7%, higher calorific value of 5649. 64 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 3757.05 kJ/kg. The carbon share from biogenic sources in the initial waste is 60.4%. The ratio of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components) is: Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
