This dataset represents the service of transporting 1 ton of freight over a distance of 1 kilometer by a container ship within the coastal/marine region of China. The transport dataset covers the entire life cycle of transport, which includes the production and maintenance of container ship, port construction, and the usage of energy and operation emissions. Extrapolation of the proportion of transport services for each ton of dry cargo carrier is made based on relevant national coastal/marine container ship data, deadweight tonnage, cargo turnover, literature, and resources.
