The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Tonghua City, Jilin Province are as follows: kitchen waste 43%, paper 4.9%, rubber 15%, textile (fiber) 2.7%, wood and bamboo 2.7%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 4.6%, glass 2.6%, metals 0.5%, and others 24%. Moisture content is 55.81%, and higher calorific value of 6171. 51 kJ/kg, lower heating value 4526.37 kJ/kg. The carbon share from biological origin in the initial waste is 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and substantially recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): iron: 60.03%; aluminum: 17.81%; copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
