The dataset represents the waste treatment activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It does not suitably represent any single specific waste type such as plastic, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of urban solid waste from the 10th Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are as follows: kitchen waste 76%, paper 2.4%, rubber 5.4%, textiles (fibers) 4.2%, wood and bamboo 2.5%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 6.4%, glass 2.4%, metals 0%. 8%, and other categories 0%. Moisture 47%, higher heating value 4148.64 kJ/kg, lower heating value 2183.4 kJ/kg. The carbon share from the initial waste, that is, biomass origin is 60.4%. The unoxidized and largely recoverable metal proportion in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%. The degradability of components constituting the waste: Paper: 27%; Mixed cardboard: 32% 4% plastic: 1%; laminated materials: 18%; laminated packaging, such as beverage cartons: 18%; composite goods, such as diapers: 18%; glass: 0%; textiles: 12%; minerals: 0%; natural products: 27%; compostable materials: 27%; inert metals: 10%; volatile metals: 0%; batteries: 0%; electronics: 0%; landfill gas capture and utilization generate 8.68E-05 kWh of electricity and 3.12E-01 MJ of useful heat.
