The characteristics of the urban solid waste processed by the MSWI (Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator) in Shanxi are as follows: kitchen waste 45.45%, paper 9.97%, rubber 18.24%, textiles (fibers) 2.26%, wood and bamboo 1.3%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 17.81%, glass 2.63%, metals 0.54%, and others 0.5%. Moisture content is 50.31%, higher calorific value of 6553.39 kJ/kg, and lower calorific value of 4742. 84 kJ/kg. Waste treatment activities are based on an average urban/public waste mixture and are not suitable for single specific waste materials such as plastics, paper, cardboard, etc. If your waste is a specific waste mixture, please inventory the corresponding wastes separately. Each kg of this waste will produce 0.205 kg of slag and 0. Fly ash and slag are subjected to precious metal recovery before being landfilled. Fly ash is solidified with cement at a 1:1 ratio. The average thermal efficiency of waste heat power generation is 22%. During waste heat supply, there is no conversion between different forms of heat and energy, resulting in a relatively high thermal efficiency, averaging 64%. By comprehensively considering the thermal efficiency of waste heat power generation and direct heat supply, 15% of the heat generated during waste incineration is used for power generation and 56% is used for direct heating.
