The dataset represents the waste management activities of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Zhumadian City, Henan Province, are as follows: kitchen waste 55.02%, paper 5.52%, rubber 3.97%, textile (fiber) 1.65%, wood and bamboo 1.36%, ash soil 0%, brick and tile ceramics 26.67%, glass 1.56%, metal 0.59%, and others 3.66%. Moisture content 55. 81%, higher heating value 4509.38 kJ/kg, lower heating value 2763.77 kJ/kg. The carbon share of initial waste, i.e., biogenic origin is 60.4%. The waste contains unoxidized and substantially recoverable metals (excluding extremely small or thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste within 100 years: 18.73%.
