The dataset represents the waste treatment activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Xixian New Area, Shaanxi province are as follows: food waste 38.6%, paper 9.3%, rubber 10.1%, textiles (fibers) 1.4%, wood and bamboo 7.4%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 23.3%, glass 6.5%, metal 3.4%, and others 0%. Moisture content is 46.1%, and higher calorific value of 5445. 04 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 3802.42 kJ/kg. The initial carbon fraction in the waste, i.e., from biogenic sources is 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. The overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
