The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province are as follows: kitchen waste 55.73%, paper 15.71%, rubber 17.98%, textiles (fibers) 5.29%, wood and bamboo 2.54%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 0%, glass 2.36%, metals 0.4%, and others 0%. Moisture content is 64%. 6%, higher heating value 7409.11 kJ/kg, lower heating value 5419.33 kJ/kg. The carbon share from the initial waste, i.e., 60.4% from biogenic sources. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin components): iron: 60.03%; aluminum: 17.81%; copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
