Quick lime is commonly used as a desiccant that adopts chemical absorption to remove water vapor, and it is also used in steel, pesticides, medicine, desiccants, leather making, and dehydration of alcohols, etc.; this dataset includes the main raw materials, energy, atmospheric emissions, water emissions, and wastes in the production process. The production equipment manufacturing, plant construction and other infrastructures are not included within the scope of the dataset boundaries; the data inventory is formed by aggregating data from multiple sources; the production process of quick lime mainly includes crushing of limestone, pretreatment of furnace feed, calcination, and treatment of lime, etc., and the calcination kilns include rotary kilns or vertical kilns.
