The dataset represents the transportation service of 1 ton by a dry cargo carrier (loading 3000 DWT) over a distance of 1 kilometer in China's inland waterways areas (regardless of watershed). The transport dataset pertains to the entire transport lifecycle, including the production and maintenance of the dry cargo carrier, the construction of canals and ports, as well as energy use and operational emissions. The DWT (deadweight tonnage) of this dry cargo carrier is 3000 tons, , with a main engine power of approximately 880 kW, both values are in reference to the standards for inland river vessels in China. Fuel consumption is calculated based on the ship's load capacity, main engine power, and operating speed. The main emissions (CO2, NOx, SOx, PM, NMVOC, CO, CH4, N2O, etc.) are calculated based on inland waterway vessel fuel consumption and relevant standards. For port and canal infrastructure, reasonable extrapolations are made based on global port and canal information.
