The dataset represents the waste treatment activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Hebi City, Henan Province are as follows: kitchen waste 55.02%, paper 5.52%, rubber 3.97%, textile (fiber) 1.65%, wood and bamboo 1.36%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 26.67%, glass 1.56%, metal 0.59%, and other materials 3.66%. Moisture content 55% 81%, higher heating value 4509.38 kJ/kg, lower heating value 2763.77 kJ/kg. The carbon share from the initial waste, i.e., 60.4% biogenic origin. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals within the waste (excluding extremely small or thin components): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%. Degradability of the material forming part of the waste: Paper: 27%; Mixed cardboard: 32%. 4% plastics: 1%; laminated materials: 18%; laminated packaging, such as drink cartons: 18%; composite products, like diapers: 18%; glass: 0%; textiles: 12%; minerals: 0%; natural products: 27%; compostable materials: 27%; inert metals: 10%; volatile metals: 0%; batteries: 0%; electronics: 0%; landfill gas capture and utilization generate 9.83E-05 kWh of electricity and 3.54E-01 MJ of useful heat.
