The dataset represents the waste treatment activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use for this dataset: to be used for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province, are as follows: food waste 64.5%, paper 6.7%, rubber 10.1%, textiles (fibers) 1.2%, wood/bamboo 0.1%, ash soil 0%, bricks/tiles/ceramics 15.1%, glass 2%, metals 0.3%, and other categories 1.36%. It has a moisture content of 55.81% and higher calorific value of 5161 kcal/kg. 91 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 3249.72 kJ/kg. The carbon share from initial waste, i.e., 60.4% biogenic. The proportion of non-oxidized and recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%.
