Nickel cobalt manganese (NCM811) oxide can be used as the positive active material in ternary lithium-ion batteries; this dataset includes primary raw materials, auxiliary materials, energy, atmospheric emissions, and waste from the production process, while the production of equipment used, building construction, and other infrastructure are not included within the boundary of the dataset; the data inventory is formed by consolidating data from multiple sources; NCM811 oxide is produced via a multi-step calcination process, with NCM811 hydroxide and lithium hydroxide being mixed and sintered for two or three rounds in a calcination kiln, the resultant material is then crushed, sieved, and demagnetized to obtain NCM811 oxide. The general reaction is as follows: NMC(OH)2 + 2LiOH→Li-NMC-O2 + 2H2O.
