The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. Recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of urban solid waste in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, are as follows: kitchen waste 62.6%, paper 10.9%, rubber 11.4%, textile (fiber) 2.1%, wood and bamboo 0.9%, ash and soil 0%, brick, tile and ceramics 0.7%, glass 2%, metal 0.2%, and others 9.2%. The moisture content is 60.7%, and the higher calorific value is 5649. 64 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 3757.05 kJ/kg. The carbon fraction from biomass in the initial waste is 60.4%. The proportion of non-oxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Total degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%.
