Battery-grade synthetic graphite is commonly used in lithium-ion batteries and solar panels; this dataset includes primary raw materials, energy, atmospheric emissions, and waste from the production process. Infrastructure such as equipment manufacturing and factory building construction for production is not included within the boundaries of the dataset; the data inventory is formed by consolidating data from multiple sources, and some of the data were supplemented and perfected by referring to industry statistics, standards, emission coefficients manuals, etc.; the production of synthetic graphite mainly involves calcining petroleum coke, then crushing the calcined petroleum coke and using it as resistance and insulating material along with carbon powder (graphite) which are put into the Acheson graphitization furnace to carry out graphitization. After After cooling, lithium battery anode materials are produced, and the process flow includes petroleum coke calcination, crushed and screened petroleum coke, carbon powder loading, graphitization, cooling, furnace cleaning, etc.
