The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for average municipal/public waste mixtures. It is not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, or cardboard. The characteristics of municipal solid waste in Baishan City, Jilin Province are as follows: food waste 43%, paper 4.9%, rubber 15%, textile (fibers) 2.7%, wood and bamboo 2.7%, ash and soil 0%, bricks, tiles, and ceramics 4.6%, glass 2.6%, metals 0.5%, and other 24%. Moisture content is 55.81%, higher heating value 6171. 51 kJ/kg, lower calorific value 4526.37 kJ/kg. The carbon fraction of the initial waste, that is, from the biogenic part, accounts for 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and recoverable metals in the waste (excluding very small or very thin parts): iron: 60.03%; aluminum: 17.81%; copper: 72.83%.
