The dataset represents the waste management activity of \"municipal solid waste\" in a sanitary landfill. The recommended use of this dataset: for the average municipal/public waste mixture. Not suitable to represent any single specific waste, such as plastics, paper, cardboard. The characteristics of urban solid waste from the 13th Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are as follows: food waste 76%, paper 2.4%, rubber 5.4%, textile (fiber) 4.2%, wood and bamboo 2.5%, ash and soil 0%, bricks and ceramics 6.4%, glass 2.4%, metals 0%. 8%, other types 0%. Moisture content 47%, higher heating value 4148.64 kJ/kg, lower heating value 2183.4 kJ/kg. The carbon share from initial waste, i.e., from biogenic sources is 60.4%. The proportion of unoxidized and largely recoverable metals in the waste (excluding extremely small or extremely thin components) is: Iron: 60.03%; Aluminum: 17.81%; Copper: 72.83%. Overall degradation rate of waste over 100 years: 18.73%. Degradability of the composition of waste: Paper: 27%; Mixed cardboard: 32% 4% plastic: 1%; laminated materials: 18%; laminated packaging, such as beverage cartons: 18%; composite goods, like diapers: 18%; glass: 0%; textiles: 12%; minerals: 0%; natural products: 27%; compostable materials: 27%; inert metals: 10%; volatile metals: 0%; batteries: 0%; electronics: 0%; landfill gas capture and utilization generate 8.68E-05 kWh of electricity and 3.12E-01 MJ of useful heat.
